What to Bring
Needs List for New Residents
Clothing:
5 pairs of work clothes
5 pairs of casual wear
2 sets of pajamas
7 each of socks, bras, & underwear
Up to 2 jackets
4 pair of shoes (flip flops, work boots, slip resistant/non-skid, etc.)
Toiletry & Personal Hygiene Items:
Toothpaste/toothbrush
Shampoo
Soap
Razors/trimmers & shaving cream
Deodorant (no aerosol)
Comb/hair brush
Miscellaneous:
Linens are provided, but if you choose to bring your own
2 towels, wash clothes, twin sheets & blanket
Clothes hangers
Current prescribed medications (NON- NARCOTIC) & a 7-day pill container
All medication prescribed or over the counter MUST be approved by staff
Cell phone and charger
Reading glasses
State I.D. (birth certificate & social security card if you need to get an I.D.) and SS Card for work purpuses
DO NOT BRING
Alcohol, drugs, or drug paraphernalia
Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives)
Pornographic material
Mouthwash containing alcohol
Any pre-workout/weight loss supplements/creatine or protein powder
Any clothing with offensive messages and/or drug/alcohol promotion
Aerosol cans or spray
Personal computers/tablets/gaming systems/TVs, etc.
Candles
Televisions
Coffee Makers
Refrigerators
Microwaves
Other personal appliances
Suitecases and/or plastic clothing containers (we cannot store for residents)
If a new resident does not have resources to provide some of the above items, A Better Way Recovery will assist the resident.
**Should a resident need a laptop or tablet for work or education purposes the possession of such a device will be reviewed on a case by case basis.**
